The inhabitants of the watery element were made for wise men to contemplate, and fools to pass by without consideration. ~ Izaak Walton

COMMUNITY ALERT!
It has come to our attention that the public right of way and access to parking and the hand launch have been altered and obstructed by entities not in the public interest in defiance of CRMC designation. Please see our library link at the top of this page for more information. Google Maps Street View still has photos of the original access point and public parking area. Please note that for the time being the parking has been temporarily blocked with a curb and plantings that were installed without a documented permit or assent. While we rectify this situation, the best way to protect this access point is to USE this access point so LET'S GO FISHING! #itsyourbridge #letsgofishing |
Our bridge across the tidal inlet to Nanaquaket Pond provides good fishing access. There is a small parking area for 20 cars on the west end of the bridge. There are also steps to the pond from an adjacent sidewalk. For complete information about Rhode Island Public Access to the Coastline see the guide from CRMC at this link.
